If you choose to study online only, you can always sign up for a field day down the road when the time is right!
Online Learning – Avalanche Skills Training Level 1
We’re pleased to offer the in-class portion of our Avalanche Skills Training Level 1 (AST 1) course as an online custom interactive course. We’re stoked about this development because it means you can take the in-class portion of the AST 1 from the comfort of your home.
The AST 1 is the foundational training for getting out into the backcountry safely + confidently.
Flexible Learning
You have the option to sign up for just the online portion of the AST 1 or the full course.

Online Learning – Avalanche Skills Training Level 2
Our Avalanche Skills Training Level 2 (AST 2) course is offered as a blended delivery.
This is rad because it gives you the option to sign up for the full course (online + 3 field days) or further your education by starting out with just the custom online course.
Flexible Learning
If you choose to commit to the online course to start, you can always register for the rest of the course down the road when the time is right.
