» Avalanche Skills Training 1 (AST 1)
» Strong rider skills, proficient on your sled
» It is recommended to spend one season in the backcountry following your AST 1 before taking your AST 2 course
» Clothing appropriate for sledding and standing in cold/snowy weather
» Helmet
» Small personal first aid kit (sunscreen, moleskin, Band-Aids, medication, etc.)

Map, compass, snow saw, snow study kit would all be beneficial for the AST 2 course, but are not necessary.

The online portion of this course is $95 which is non refundable.

You will receive a full refund minus $95 for the online course + $35 admin fee.

If cancelled within 14 days of the start date you will not receive a refund unless your spot can be filled.

Please note that if the minimum number of people to run a course is not met the course will be cancelled and you will receive a full refund.
If you are sick with Covid 19 & can not make it to your scheduled course you will receive a credit to use at a later date with Stay Wild Backcountry Skills. We will work together with you to find a date that works when you are feeling better.
